Misty Kiblinger (Nason) RD, CSR, CLT, CD
My Story

Misty is a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist and founder of Viva Nutrition Counseling. She has trained extensively in clinical nutrition and integrative functional nutrition. As a result, her passion-driven practice reflects her thorough knowledge and deep respect for both ideologies. Specialty areas of Practice include: Chronic Kidney Disease, Nephrolithiasis (Kidney Stones), Gastrointestinal Disorders, Food Sensitivity Testing (MRT), Diabetes, and Sports Nutrition.

Misty is a "real deal" decreed nutritionist.  As a life-long student, she maintains a fierce commitment to continue her education and research in the fields of both clinical dietetics and alternative nutrition.  Misty obtained her degree in Clinical Nutrition and Food Science from Washington State University and is board certified in renal nutrition and food sensitivity testing.  She has over 25 years of clinical nutrition experience and has worked with people who have chronic kidney disease and kidney related disorders for over 20 years.  She is a community advisor for www.Nephu.org and has been a speaker on chronic kidney disease for local, state and national conferences. She has collaborated with Chef JJ Johnson, TV personality and James Beard book award winning chef on creating meals for people with chronic kidney disease.

 

Misty grew up in small farm town in Eastern Washington where her family farmed fruit since the late 1800's.  This initial foundation formed her appreciation and fascination for growing quality, whole foods and significance of whole foods providing and sustaining a healthy life.  She lives in the Pacific Northwest with her family and is an avid runner, enjoys hiking new summits, traveling and learning about other cultures and other random acts of adventure.

Marissa Claiborne MPA, RD, CSR

Marissa is a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist and has extensive experience working with chronic kidney disease and dialysis clients since 2009. Marissa is board certified in renal nutrition and has over 20 years of experience as a clinical dietitian. Proficient in Spanish as a second language. Marissa is curious, compassionate, and communicates to understand what is important to the client. Marissa has confronted dialysis with a loved one which adds personal perspective.

 

Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, Marissa enjoys hiking and beach walks.

Marissa es curiosa, compasiva y se comunica para entender lo que es importante para el cliente. Marissa se ha enfrentado a la diálisis con un ser querido, lo que añade una perspectiva personal. Al crecer en el noroeste del Pacífico, Marissa disfruta del senderismo y los paseos por la playa.
