It is often difficult to identify food sensitivities. The reactions may be delayed or dose dependent, meaning we may not feel the effects of a reaction until many hours or days after we’ve eaten the reactive foods, or unless we eat enough of the reactive food. The Mediator Release Test (MRT) is blood test that measures inflammatory response of 170 foods and chemicals. Once the reactive foods and/or additives are determined, an individualized elimination diet can be planned, where such foods are removed and your diet is then designed around your lowest reactive foods.
